Switch 2 - Standalone Access Control
Switch 2 is a standalone solution utilising a separate control unit for higher security applications. The Switch 2 control unit is housed on the inside or secure side of the door.
Access is controlled by using a choice of proximity or magstripe readers and keypads, by offering up valid tokens to readers or by using a code or PIN with a keypad. Switch 2 offers a larger range of compatible readers than Compact, including a combination proximity / keypad reader.
Although a standalone system, Switch 2 can easily be upgraded to a PC based system in the future, by simply changing the controllers. Readers and other hardware are compatible with both systems.
