Net2 software and hardware is an Access Control system which provides many operational and reporting advantages compared with the traditional key and lock means of access control. It works by installing electronic door controllers and reader units at each door. Doors are then configured by using the Net2 software which communicates with every door. Each user is then presented with a token or card and the Net2 software is configured to allow that user access. Net2 can be set up for just one door or for hundreds of doors. It can also be set up for multiple sites, all configured from and reporting back to the Net2 software at one location. Thousands of users can be set up with tokens or cards. Access rights can be granted to individual users or departments of users. Access rights can determine if and when a user is allowed to use each door. Should a user lose his/her token or card then that token/card can be suspended or removed. Every time a user presents their token/card to a door, that information is recorded and sent back to the Net2 software. Reports can then be generated to show user activity. Time and Attendance readers can be specifically installed to capture the clocking in / out times of users. This information can then been seen within the Time and Attendance application and can be exported to a csv file for use within a payroll system. Integration with other systems is also possible, for example presenting a token/card to the store room card reader could not only unlock the door but also turn on the store room lights or integration with an alarm system so that certain users, upon presenting their token/card to a particular reader, will activate/deactivate the alarm system. Integration with a fire alarm system can also be set up. Upon an active alarm a roll call report can be produced. If a Muster station is set up then users can present their token/card to the muster reader and the Net2 software can show who is safe and who is still missing. Email notifications can also be set up in response to certain events, i.e. when a user has tried to access a door that they are not authorised for. The Net2 software can be installed on multiple PCs across sites. Multiple users can then be setup to configure or view the Net2 software. Cards can also be printed on and can contain company and user information therefore not only acting as an access control card but also an ID card. Other reader types are also available, namely Keypads and Biometric readers. |

| Identification Help Net2 software - To launch the Net2 software either click on the green square Net2 icon which is located on the Desktop or go to the Start menu and click on Programs (All Programs) and look for the Net2 folder.
