Environmental Classification for Intruder Alarms
The environmental classification indicates the conditions most likely to prevail in the premises in which the security system is installed.
Class I - Indoor
For use in residential or commercial properties where the temperature is well maintained.
Class II - Indoor: General
For use in corridors, halls or staircases, and where condensation can occur on windows, as well as in unheated storage areas or warehouses where the heating is not well maintained or is intermittent.
Class III - Outdoor: Sheltered
For use out of doors where the system components are not fully exposed to the weather.
Class IV - Outdoor: General
For use out of doors where the system components are fully exposed to the weather.
