Corps Security, AlertSystems and 360 Vision Technology Partner to Provide State-of-the-art Surveillance

Thursday, February 9th, 2012

Continuing its commitment to working with best-in-class CCTV solutions providers, Corps Security has announced a strategic partnership with AlertSystems and 360 Vision Technology. As a key part of this development the Corps Monitoring Centre (CMC) can now facilitate the use of the unique Predator CCTV range.

Predator is the world’s first dual Infra Red (IR) and White Light Pan, Tilt & Zoom (PTZ) Camera and the WL150 model offers up to 125 metres (m) of IR illumination and 125m of ultra bright white for true colour at night. Mark Rees, business development director at 360 Vision Technology, said, ‘Predator adds a new dimension to surveillance by using remotely activated and controlled directional light to deter intruders. It allows high quality images of faces, clothes, vehicles and other details to be accurately and clearly recorded, and the light can be used to follow intruders in the same way that a police searchlight does.’

Corps Security has integrated 360 Vision Technology’s Predator system into the Glasgow based CMC. The CMC provides third party alarm receiving and CCTV monitoring services to a wide range of customers across many market sectors.

Predator’s White Light feature is the result of the close working relationship that AlertSystems has with 360 Vision Technology. AlertSystems is a Wiltshire based nationwide security installation specialist providing service and installations to all types of business across the UK including major corporate organisations. Paul Rolfe, Technical Operations Manager of AlertSystems explained, ‘360 Vision Technology supplies directly to its key installation partners and this gives us the opportunity to provide our feedback and suggestions. Looking for a CCTV solution that would bring greater deterrent value to remotely monitored CCTV systems, I first discussed with Mark the possibility of incorporating high powered LED (light emitting diode) based lighting into a PTZ Camera, the idea grew and developed from there and Predator’s Dual IR & White Light Camera was born.’

The three organisations eventually came together when Corps Security contacted AlertSystems to promote the benefits of the CMC. During an initial meeting, Eric Roberts, Corps Security’s CMC business development director, was shown the Predator Dual IR & White Light Camera and was instantly impressed. He commented, ‘We are always looking for ways to be more proactive in the way that we monitor sites and I recognised that Predator would be a welcome addition to our exiting technology portfolio.’

Operatives at the CMC are able to put the functionality of the Predator to good effect across a range of sites including utilities, industrial estates, supermarkets and the railway network, where they are helping to combat the ongoing problem of copper cable thefts.

Corps Security’s Eric Roberts concluded, ‘I’m delighted to be able to announce this new partnership with AlertSystems and 360 Vision Technology. It has all the ingredients of a mutually beneficial arrangement that highlights our ethos of providing state-of-the-art monitoring services to our continually growing customer base.’

VideoIQ Expands Line of iCVR HD High Definition Cameras

Video analytics, also known as automated video content analysis, provide organisations and businesses with greatly enhanced security by detecting security breaches around perimeters or in specific vulnerable areas, unattended objects and irregular activity patterns quickly and consistently.

Software detects camera tampering in real time alerting staff to any camera obstructions or changes in the camera’s position. Customer services issues can be highlighted (e.g. unacceptable waiting times) and customer traffic patterns can be monitored.

VideoIQ provides some of the most effective all-in-one intelligent video surveillance solutions available on the market. Powered by full 1080p high-definition self-calibrating analytics, VideoIQ’s iCVR cameras and encoders deliver superior real-time threat detection, reduce network traffic by over 90 percent and eliminate the need for central servers.

Video IQ has announced the expansion of the award-winning iCVR-HD line of full high definition cameras. The expanded line of iCVR-HD full 1080p high-definition cameras now includes motorised lenses and increased storage capacity. The optional motorized lens feature delivers remote focus capability from VideoIQ’s Advanced Video Management System View™, enabling integrators to reduce installation time and common challenges associated with hand-focused lenses. Additionally, with increased storage capacity options including both 320GB and 750GB hard drives, integrators and end-users have greater design flexibility to meet their specific storage needs. VideoIQ’s expanded line now includes both the original iCVR-HD models and the new motorized lens models.

Powered by VideoIQ’s award winning self-calibrating analytics, iCVR all-in-one video surveillance solutions improve security by delivering superior accuracy and range. Unlike conventional IP video surveillance systems which face significant bandwidth and storage challenges, VideoIQ’s iCVR onboard storage provides months of recording while eliminating the need to backhaul video to central storage servers..

“With the addition of motorised focus, we have simplified another step in the installation process,” said Ed Bednarcik, president and CEO of VideoIQ. “Combined with our self-calibrating analytics and greater storage options, integrators can more easily and confidently configure our all-in-one surveillance solutions to meet any customer needs.”
