The competition in the field of security and alert systems is very stringent that is why many companies engaged in the development of security and alert systems are investing on research and development in order to improve their products as well as their services. The ultimate achievement of a security company in its research and development efforts is seen through the different recognition and awards given to such product.

Dedicated Micros is a company that constantly conducts research and development on their security products such as their line of CCTV camera systems. It is because of their true dedication in the development of their security products that they were recognised by receiving an award for their new product the Closed IP TV System as the Integrated Security product of the Year. Having been awarded the Integrated Security Product of the Year for their Closed IP TV System cements the reputation of Dedicated Micros as one of the world’s leader in CCTV Camera Manufacturing and Development. The Closed IP TV System was developed by integrating the enhanced layer 2/3 switching technology with a self-configuration software. This combination would mean that installation of the CCTV Camera with such integrated system would mean the production of self-configuring and secure video which is transmitted through the IP networks, due  to the self-configuring property the CCTV camera and its other systems can be installed over the IP network without prior knowledge with configuring security devices, especially CCTV camera over an IP Network.

Truly, this product from Dedicated Micros helps not only the security and alert system industry by delivering quality products but most of all the company is able to aide clients or users in the process of installing the security devices by making the installation simple.

Business Crime Rose Over Ten Years

Thursday, May 27th, 2010

Business establishments are the usual target of unscrupulous people. With the intent to gain, unscrupulous people are targeting business establishments for the very reason that it is there where the “money” is so to speak. Recognising the risks of establishing a business many of such establishments are being equipped with security and alert systems like CCTV camera systems, intruder alarm systems and even access control systems. However, there are still some business establishments that are not investing in the installation and use of security and alert systems, which may be attributed to the extra cost that the business owner may incur in the installation and maintenance of such. This type of thinking may have contributed to the increase of business crime cost over the period of the past ten years. According to the report of AXA insurance the cost in business crime increased to fifty eight percent (58%) over the period of ten years. During the year 2009 the average business crime cost claims averaged at around four thousand eighty one pounds (£4,081). Even with the slight decline of business crime of about (0.8%) last year, people who are engaged in business are feeling more vulnerable from unscrupulous people of from crime in general.

Aside from the non-engagement with security companies or none use of security devices being one of the cause of such fear other reasons were also cited by those who are engaged in business. One other reason seen why there is an increase in business crime is due to the lack of cultural respect which leads to rampant vandalism of business establishments especially if the owner belongs to the minority group in the area. Another reason cited was the lack of involvement of the community in solving crimes or their lack of active participation thereof. Finally, one more reason cited was the global financial crisis which was experienced last year that led to the increase in the unemployment rate.

Whatever reasons may be cited, the different types of business crimes may all be averted by using effective security systems like CCTV camera system, Intruder alarm systems or access control system, thus a person engaged in business especially those that have their own building or establishment must always always bear in mind that installing and maintaining a security and alert systems is an investment rather than a liability necessary in the efficient protection of their business.
