In the field of security and alert systems product lines are always being restructured, the restructuring of such product lines are brought about by several reasons or conditions, the first reason is that the field of security and alert systems is a very dynamic market. The dynamism of this industry is brought about by its dependence on technology, security devices that are manufactured by security and alert systems companies are driven by technology and since new technologies are being discovered every day security and alert systems companies should exploit if not only to utilise the said new technologies in order to improve their product or even set the benchmark in the industry Another reason or condition is the fact that the field of security and alert systems industry is a very competitive market, many companies involved in the field of security and alert systems are investing much on research and development because of the fact that they would like to deliver the best products to both their clients and potential clients.

Recognising these factors Flir a leader in thermal CCTV Camera systems have launched their F-series thermal imaging cameras. These set of CCTV cameras were developed in response to the need to incorporate new technologies and the need to increase competency in the different security and alert systems products. The F-series is incorporated with an advance technology which is the uncooled Vanadium Oxide microbolometer detector. Aside from that an internal CCTV camera software is integrated which helps the CCTV camera deliver clear images without the need for manual adjustments. This series of CCTV cameras are available in various pixel detectors from 160 x 120 up to 640 x 480.

Several features are also integrated in the F-series that would enable the CCTV camera to be readily integrated to an existing CCTV Camera system without sacrificing its capability to also act as a stand-alone CCTV camera system.

The competition in the field of alert and security systems is very stringent that several strategies have to be employed in order to stay on top or at least to remain competitive in the market. Recognising the tough competition many security and alert systems companies are developing several marketing strategies in order to achieve being at the top or at least remaining to be competitive. One of such strategy is to invest most of their resources in research and development. It is a known fact that security and alert systems are technologically driven thus a company who would be incorporating the latest technology which would contribute to the increased efficiency and accuracy of the alert system would be considered as the benchmark of the industry and it would be expected that clients would then prefer such product. Another strategy being employed is to combine technologies through partnership. Mutual agreements and or partnerships is an effective marketing strategy because of the fact that two companies having their own clients base would then be sharing technologies and clients which would thus help strengthen the individual clients.

The second strategy having been recognised as an effective approach have been employed by Mayflex and Sanyo, the latter being a leader in High Definition Technology and the former being one of the leader in security and alert systems distribution forms a formidable team. In an announcement made by Mayflex they have said that their partnership with Sanyo would bring the former to distributing the HD CCTV Cameras developed by Sanyo. It could be remembered that during the last quarter of 2009 Sanyo has released their complete range of HD CCTV Cameras where it is composed of PTZ CCTV Cameras, Vandal Resistant Domes and Fixed CCTV Cameras. For Mayflex, this partnership would solidify their goal of giving clients a wider range of choices.
