British Security Industry Association exec resigns.

Thursday, August 27th, 2009

The British Security Industry Association’s Chief Executive John Bates has resigned with the immediate effect after 8 months. The BSIA are still in search for a replacement will commence in due course and that until the process is completed as announced. For the meantime, the BSIA will be managed and run by a team of directors in close liaison with the Associations Chairman.

Bates is quoted as saying, that working with the group has more been a pleasure. The team are conscientious, dedicated and serve the members well and I have enjoyed working with them. I am confident that the Better, Bigger and Stronger agenda that I have championed, together with the vision for the future we have developed together since October last year, will do much to build upon the Association’s success.’ This is an official statement from the BSIA.

As we know, John Bates has a twenty plus years of industry experience and his skills and reputation as a communicator gave Stuart Lowden, the BSIA chairman the confidence to put the BSIA safe in his hands. And now, he is to step down in the position but with significant contributions by improving the Associations’ reputation and standing  with their many stakeholders as Stuart Lowden said.

Stuart Lowden also added that the company or organization will further be built around and according to John Bates’ vision. These programs that were initially introduced by Bates will be continued by a team of executives that will work closely with the Association’s current chairman.

The chief executive John Bates was among those who pioneered UK’s security system. During  his term there have been several innovations that were introduced by Bates. Further he has driven the security system community to form the group according to their principles, concepts and  goals. Bates has not offered any clear and definite reason as to why he is cutting his position in the BSIA short. Although only serving for eight months these services that were rendered by John Bates was termed by the BSIA chairman Stuart Lowden as one that will always be remembered because of the fact that John Bates has opened so many avenues and opportunities to all of BSIA’s members and stakeholders. It should be remembered that John Bates was responsible for the increase in their profit as well as the organisation’s reliability which thus also pertained to their organisation’s reputation.

The latter being the hardest to build as anyone could attest but John Bates made it happen making BSIA to be a reputable group that safeguards the interests of those who are engaged in the business of security and surveillance like installations and monitoring devices such as CCTV cameras and IP cameras other than that companies that also deal with access control system, external deterrent system even the installation of barrier systems. These security devices and technology companies or providers are the members that Bates has been helping in the British Security Industry Association, protecting their rights and helping them increase business opportunities via means of accreditation and even via merely being a member of the association is already an exhibition of the company’s reputation to be highly reliable, an area that John Bates tried to build in his short eight months in service for BSIA.

Paxton Releases New Product the EasyProx Nano

Have you ever wondered how you could prevent people from entering a specific part of your building or home? It is not a secret that every company has its own share of cases of espionage where vital company information is being leaked into rival companies. This usually happens when an office or a document storage area has become a free access for all. In business trade secrets are to be kept within the trusted members of the company but because of unsecured storage of confidential documents many people might get their hand on the company’s trade secrets. It is also to the common knowledge of all that certain hierarchy exists within a company and that although all employee’s are situated in one building there is always a separation that is evident in office location and in office access, take for example an entry level employee should not have any access to the office of the company CEO except of course if it is within his or her duty to do so, because of the fact that there should be restrictions to what information an employee should have access to. That is why many companies nowadays implement an access control system that will allow the monitoring of employees activities and most of all monitoring the allowable access within the building an employee should have. This system is highly suggested to be implemented in a company that have hundreds if not thousands of employees. In doing so you will be limiting unauthorised entry by employees to areas within the company that should only be accessed by selected people, not due to discrimination but rather due to the level of understanding and degree of professionalism apart from trust and loyalty to the company that the employee has. It is because of this limitations that should be implemented that companies must install a reliable access control system.

In the realm of security and surveillance one name has been constantly giving the public and its clients to be specific, the ultimate security service that they deserve. Paxton Access specialises in the development of access control systems that are both compatible for building and even home use. With Paxton Access’ continued pursuit of providing clients with excellent Access control systems they have recently developed a revolutionary access control system that fully utilises the Net2 technology. This technology is considered to be ground breaking as it uses the networked access control system technology which therefore does not require for any type of wiring. Paxton Access Ltd. named such technology as the EasyProx Nano. The EasyProx Nano being a wireless access control system allows communication with the Net2 PC through the Net2Air Bridge. This access control system is also considered to be one of the easiest to install as it was developed in order to make installation possible anywhere even to areas where the conventional access control system cannot be installed. It is also because of this ease of installation that made such technology to be considered as cost efficient. One very good example of the EasyProx Nano’s cost efficiency is the fact that it can be installed with existing Net2 PC and thus preventing users to shell out additional costs.

The use of Paxton Access Ltd’s. EasyProx Nano is highly suggested on internal office doors, company buildings, gyms, sports clubs and even government buildings, for home use the Easy Prox Nano is recommended to be utilised in access to halls of large residences. Indeed this new access control system technology by Paxton Access Ltd. has brought a new outlook on how an access control system should work.
